Alaskan Trip Journal

Date: Wednesday, July 23, 2003

Starting Location: Andy Bailey Provincial Park (near Ft. Nelson, BC)

Destination: Chetwynd, BC

Trip Description: Today was a rather uneventful day. We got on the road and headed south toward Dawson Creek. Our goal is to get off of the Alaska Highway and head southwest toward Seattle. We passed through the town of Hudson's Hope. The road follows the Peace River for about 25 miles. The views from the top of the bluffs are wonderful. We saw a pair of moose near the road. After sightseeing a bit, we reached the Westwind Campground in Chetwynd. It is a very high quality campground with clean showers. We look forward to a nice quiet evening.
