Alaskan Trip Journal

Date: Monday, June 23, 2003

Starting Location: White Marsh, MD

Destination: Chestnut Ridge Park and Campground (Hubbard, OH)

Trip Description: We planned to get an early start today, but it didn't happen. We were both tired from a busy weekend packing up the RV. After a couple of hours packing and organizing, we were ready to leave. After filling the tank, we started south on Bel Air Rd. At 1:00 PM, we were on the road. The trip through Maryland was hot but uneventful. The traffic was a bit heavy. By dinnertime, we were nearing the PA/OH border. Co-pilot Laura pulled out the laptop and the wireless internet and found a place to stay for the night. Isn't technology great! There's a small lake here, with a beach. We had a quick dinner at 8:30, before relaxing for the night. As I write this, it's 10:11 PM. It's been a long first day. We look forward to reaching Chicago tomorrow.
